Wellbeing
At Mansfield Secondary College, student wellbeing is central to creating a positive, inclusive and connected school community. We believe young people learn best when they feel safe, supported and valued, and we are committed to fostering an environment where every student can thrive both personally and academically.
Our wellbeing team provides support through individual check-ins, counselling, small group programs and targeted interventions that respond to a range of social, emotional and mental health needs. Students can access support throughout the school day in a safe and confidential space where they are encouraged to seek guidance, build resilience and develop positive coping strategies.
Student wellbeing is supported through strong partnerships between Year Level Coordinators, classroom teachers, wellbeing staff, families and external services. This collaborative approach ensures students receive timely and holistic support tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.
Home Group programs provide regular opportunities for connection, guidance and wellbeing check-ins, while dedicated wellbeing and personal development programs focus on building emotional literacy, respectful relationships, resilience and self-awareness. These programs are designed to be developmentally appropriate and responsive to the changing needs of young people throughout their secondary school years.
Through a proactive and relationship-based approach to care, Mansfield Secondary College aims to empower students to feel connected, understood and confident in engaging positively with their learning, peers and wider school community.
