MSC students have the opportunity to participate in a multitude of school excursions, activities and camps designed to enhance their learning experience, overcome challenges, learn leadership skills and explore new opportunities.

Beechworth Music Camp
Music/Instrumental students from Years 7-10, part of three day North East region camp of approx. 120 students of varying music abilities. Ensembles, choir, bands etc.

Year 7-10 students involved in music making, singing, dancing and confidence building activities. Shire promoted and funded with 3-4 North East shires involved, each year in a different shire.

Year 7 Humanities/Science excursion to Melbourne Museum & IMAX
Investigating ancient civilisations and food chains/classification

Year 9 Indonesian excursion to Melbourne
Lunch at Indonesian restaurant, shopping at Asian supermarket & afternoon at Melbourne Zoo, focusing on Indonesian animals.
Last Week Of Term 2 (alternating years)
Central Australia Trip
Every second year (even years). 12-day trip leaving the last week of Term 2 (includes part of the Term 2 holidays).

Zone Trap Shooting Championships - Echuca Clay Target Club
Students compete in the ‘down-the-line’ style of clay target shooting against other schools in the north-east region.

Choir and vocal students at Hisense Arena as part of Victorian State Schools performance extravaganza. Approximately 1000 students involved. (Note: Excluding 2018)

VCE Year 12 Unit 4 Studio Arts excursion
Australian Galleries and other commercial and artist run spaces in Melbourne.

‘Sporting’ Clay Target Championships - Benalla Field & Game Club
This style of clay target shooting is ‘field and game’, where the targets come from a variety of locations.

Term 4 Activities

Project 109 Urban Challenge
Students plan the entire overnight stay in Melbourne (one or two nights) themselves, complete risks assessments, applications and bookings. They devise an Amazing Race (researching Melbourne and its landmarks) and choosing a leisure activity and a charitable activity.
Start Of December
Leadership Camp – 15 Mile Creek Greta
Student leaders for the following year are encouraged to attend the 5-day camp to build leadership skills.

MITTAGUNDI OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE
The centre offers 10 day programs for 14 to 16 year olds. Programs are designed to present challenges, build self-confidence and work as a team to achieve goals

Excursions for all levels should the opportunity arise. These include ‘Creative Victoria’ programs for rurally isolated students.
